Welcome to the Coalition Against No Platform (CANP)

This is a short directory/petition of Bloggers and Blog Posts who have spoken out against the No Platform Policy.

We believe that the No Platform policy, where speakers refuse to participate in debates at which the BNP or other undesirables are present is foolish at best and counter-productive at worst.

Make no mistake, we are all united and committed to fighting fascism wherever it exists, but we also believe that the best way to do this is through practising what we preach using the means of democratic debate.

We can go round and round debating about debating and bringing up the same arguments, but at the end of it all we have to make a decision, and it’s far better for us to mobilise and argue with those we want to defeat than those with whom we share the same goals.
